The RMS Queen Mary:
Dating back to the early 1930’s, the RMS Queen Mary set sail in the country of Scotland. The Queen Mary made over 1,000 journeys across the Atlantic Ocean as a cruise liner and troop transport during World War 2. Hundreds of thousands of people have been aboard the Queen Mary prior to her last voyage in 1967! The Queen Mary retired in Long Beach, California; where she has been permanently docked. Today, the Queen Mary functions as a Hotel. Guests come aboard for various functions such as weddings, funerals, business meetings, and pure relaxation. However, numerous guests have claimed they have seen some of the prior guests including spirits of those that lost their lives onboard the RMS Queen Mary. There have been at least 50 deaths on board the ship. Perhaps, many more. One of the more gruesome deaths occurred when an extremely heavy door crashed and killed two crew members. This door is known as Door 13.

When we originally wrote this post, we wanted to focus on real haunted houses across America. However, we quickly realized that many of these homes are off limits to our friends who research and document the paranormal. As a result, we have tried to narrow down our top haunted locations to locations that are accessible to anyone who would like to investigate and gather evidence of the paranormal. Some locations are real homes and private property of individuals. Always obtain permission to investigate before doing so on private property.
In 1977, a single parent, Peggy Hodgson called the Enfield Police out to her rented home. The home was in the historic Enfield, England, which dates back to at least the 11th century.
Peggy Hodgson claimed that two of her four children watched furniture move around their home. If that was not scary enough, the family also reported knocking sounds on the inside of the walls.
This was just the tip of the iceberg. The Enfield Haunting is a well documented haunting witnessed by police officers, community members, paranormal researchers, and even the crew of the BBC.
Ruwan didn’t realize going on the stretch of the Kandy Road during midnight was going to be the death of him. It was one of the busiest roads in the country but it still has only a few passing by vehicles at night. He had to do overtime to complete his work sheet before the weekend, so he stayed until he finished his work and now traveling from Colombo to Nittambuwa in the dark night made him feel a bit restless. The sooner I reach home, the better for everyone, he thought while keeping his focus on the road.
