Recently, I received a phone call from a Las Vegas homeowner (name not mentioned for privacy purposes) concerned about the use of an Ouija Board in her home.  The homeowner’s main concern was how to dispose of an Ouija Board.  She stated that since having and playing with the Ouija Board in her home; her family life has deteriorated. Namely, she made mention that her daughter complained of something unseen touching her legs on several occasions.  In addition, the bookshelf that was mounted to the wall fell on top of her teenage daughter who was in her room.  Who would have thought that a game board made in 1890, and now owned by Hasbro, has connections to the spirit realm?  The truth is, these experiences are not too uncommon.

It is my belief that one can take any object and connect with the spirit realm. One does not have to just use an Ouija Board.  In fact, a simple meditation will alert you to the spirit world. Once you are "tuned-in"  problems can arise.  You see, spirits, good and bad are all around us every moment of the day.  Simply “tuning-in” to the spirit realm through concentration, which the Ouija Board naturally emphasizes, allows spirits good and bad to connect with the living. (You know what happens when you leave cheese out for mice!)  Simply put, our natural psychic abilities are enhanced when we focus our attention to the spirit world. 

However, I must warn you, using such games or devices such as an Ouija Board is like setting up a table or booth at Grand Central Station with a free service to the general public.  Once a “spirit door” is opened; you can expect a flood of spirit activity no matter in your home.  Therefore, a simple and amusing game like the Ouija Board can become a lighthouse for spirit activity. 

In the case aforementioned, the question was, how do we dispose of the Ouija Board?  Honestly, from my experiences, it is not the Ouija Board that needs to be disposed of.  The Ouija Board, like any item is a tool to connect you to the spirit world.  Once a “spirit door” is opened, it may be very difficult to close it. Remember, there are good and bad spirits that can come through.  Generally, the bad spirits are the ones that want to stick around and cause havoc for you and your family. Therefore, think twice before spirit connecting with a Ouija Board.

On Thursday, September 8, 2011, Las Vegas paranormal investigators from GotSpirits.com packed up and went to the Pioneer Saloon located in GoodSprings, NV.  This was our first outing to investigate the saloon.  We met with the owner, Noel Sheckells who has had many first-hand encounters with spirits that roam the Pioneer Saloon.  Noel stated that most of his paranormal activity orginates from the women's bathroom.  On occasion, Noel has heard crying coming from the bathroom area.  Literally 30 seconds into our investigation, we immediately captured an evp, or electronic voice phenomenon.  The below EVP sound clip begins with a standard question we use. "Do you know your dead?"  Often times, spirits do not know that they have died.  However, our investigation at Pioneer Saloon demonstrated that the woman haunting the saloon does in fact know she is dead.  In fact, the woman's voice states,"I'm dead!"  The response received leads us to believe that the haunt at Pioneer Saloon is in fact, an intelligent haunt. 

Also, when listening to the EVP below, you will hear the sound of a door opening while.  This "squeaky door" sound was not present during the investigation.  In fact, the door was closed and the door does not make a squeak when opening. 

The EVP or electronic voice phenomenon you will hear below starts off with a simple question,"I would like to hear you say something, (pause) do something (pause)."  An answer was received nearly 4 seconds later with the response,"Captain."

Another evening of Ghost Hunting in Las Vegas has revealed a Las Vegas Ghost. Las Vegas ghosts are everywhere. From the foreclosed properties to the spirits that inhabit them; there is no shortage of ghosts in Las Vegas. On August 1, 2011, GotSpirits.com went to Green Valley Park for another ghost hunt. Although we did not spend a lot of time investigating; we did not come home empty handed.

The following EVP is yet more evidence that spirits inhabit this park. In particular, next to the picnic benches by Pecos is where we have gathered some of our best evidence. Nearly 4 minutes into our EVP session our investigator, John, asked a similar question from several investigations ago that has once again demonstrated fruitful.

Namely, John asked, "Make the light light-up if you think your dead."

(John was referring to the K-2 meter which was placed on the bench. )

Nearly a second passes and a response on our digital recorders states, "Who's Dead?"

Almost immediately, like communicating with a living being, you hear a reply: "I do". 

The only modification made to the recording is an enhanced response.  In other words, I used a program to turn up the volume so you can better hear the "I do".

This video clip was taken on July 15, 2011 at Good Springs Cemetery by Las Vegas Paranormal Investigator John N. aka "sergeant" of www.GotSpirits.com. The camera is a Sony digital camera with night vision. The camera was positioned for over an hour on the same spot over looking some grave stones. Out of nowhere, a "snake-like" light comes flying from the top right and flies towards the camera. Immediately, the camera stops recording for about 2 seconds and then kicks back on. We are at a loss as to what this could be. We do not believe this traveling light to be an insect or other flying animal. The instant directional changes and speed makes any insect or animal ruled out in our opinion.

This video is actually a series of pictures taken in succession (one after another) at the very haunted park: Green Valley Park, Henderson, Nevada. The camera was set to take several pictures in a row. The pictures were taken on May 13, 2011 (Friday the 13th, of all things). You will see a human shape walk across the screen. You will see legs and shoes in frame one and movement through the remaining pictures. There was nobody near the camera as the pictures were being taken. It is said that the park is haunted by at least 3 entities. Namely, two brothers were murdered at the park bench in which the camera is shooting towards. In addition, a wagon train came through the area and was attacked by native Americans in the region. In addition, the first rail road passes through the area; just a block away. We do not utilize or practice Ouiga boards, siances, or diving rods to try to manifest or find spirits.

We have experience investigating public and private locations. Although we are based in Las Vegas, Nevada, we are open to investigations throughout the United States.
